About Me
Camila Benen
Growing up between Cuban and Dutch cultures has deeply shaped the way I understand space as something tied to identity, memory, and belonging. Moving between contexts taught me to observe carefully: how materials age, how light shifts across surfaces, how people inhabit and adapt their surroundings. That awareness continues to guide my work. I am drawn to architecture that feels rooted yet evolving, where structure and atmosphere are inseparable.
I approach design as both investigation and interpretation. Each project becomes a study of context cultural, environmental, and material translated into spatial systems that carry meaning.
For me, architecture is not about imposing form, but about revealing relationships: between past and present, permanence and change, precision and intuition.
